Then you are perfect as The Army Painter’s copywriter!
You will become part of our Marketing team, which is currently divided in two departments: Tactical and Commercial. Your work will focus on providing copy to products in regards of print, web, newsletters, and sales materials. Depending on your geography, you will either report to the manager of the Tactical or Commercial department.
International team player with an eye for detail
In collaboration with your colleagues in Marketing, E-commerce, and Sales, you will help develop a plan for our newsletters and its execution. Your daily work will involve working closely with various stakeholders especially the US part of the Tactical Marketing, who are responsible for all social media, to review and maintain a consistent brand tone across all channels.
Your tasks will be varied, but the most important thing is that you have outstanding writing skills, so you can elevate and maintain our communication with our retailers and end-consumers.
Your daily work will consist of maintaining and writing clear, compelling, and engaging copy for various online and offline media, such as:
- Multiple B2C and B2B newsletters every month.
- Web content (product descriptions, landing pages, blog posts, SoMe ads etc.).
- Products (box descriptions, brochures, flyers, painting, and assembly guides etc.).
- B2B sales materials (advertisements, articles etc.).
- Collaboratively review and proofread copy with the different stakeholders, ensuring quality assurance before any publication.
You will be trained and taught the basics during the onboarding process by the different managers and departments who have been involved in the copywriting process. However, we expect a minimum 3 years of experience writing English copy.
Linguistic hobbyist with passion
All copywriting will be in British English due to our international market, so you must be fluent in the language. You have a strong grasp of grammar and a talent for thinking in creative, linguistic, and quirky concepts, allowing you to craft engaging texts that help generate sales. This, combined with intermediate graphic skills and a great eye for aesthetics, will help you to independently create the perfect layout for your messaging in tasks such as newsletters, blog posts and SoMe graphics. Through good and creative storytelling, you convey complex messages in a way that is digestible for both beginners and veterans in the hobby. Making it important that you have extensive knowledge of wargaming and tabletop gaming, as well as personal, hands-on experience with the hobby.
In extension of this, we expect that you have:
- A bachelor's degree in communication, marketing, or journalism, as your ability to write good copy is paramount.
- Experience with SEO and CTA to optimize content for search engines.
- Experience with email systems such as Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or others.
We are a close-knit team at our headquarters in Skanderborg where we focus on creating an exciting and transparent work environment. We encourage each other's creativity and skills and have a strong sense of community.
For these reasons, we prefer a candidate who can work on-site at our Skanderborg office. For the right candidate, we offer flexibility, including the option to work remotely most days or entirely. However, remote work is only available to applicants based in the US or Denmark, and residency in one of these countries is required. The position is full-time with a start date as soon as possible from March.
