The secret is out! The Army Painter is partnering with Dungeons & Dragons ®. Announced at SPIEL Essen, the partnership brings together the world’s greatest roleplaying game and The Army Painter to help more players discover the creative experience of miniature painting.
At the center of the partnership is Forgotten Pigments, a new collection coming in 2027 featuring unique colors developed specifically for Dungeons & Dragons and inspired by its iconic artwork, books, characters, creatures, and worlds. We’re keeping all the details under wraps, for now, but Forgotten Pigments is only part of the story.
For many D&D players, miniature painting is a whole new adventure. And that’s exactly why we’re here. The Army Painter was founded by hobbyists with one goal: make miniature painting easier and more fun. You don’t need years of painting experience, a desk covered in brushes, or a natural 20 on your Dexterity check to get started. You just need a miniature, some paint, and a little help along the way. That’s where our new D&D Paint Academy comes in.
The D&D Paint Academy, a free educational platform, will offer approachable tutorials and painting education designed to guide players from their first brushstroke to more advanced techniques, with content inspired by the D&D experiences players already know and love. Plus, there’s much more to discover.
Join the D&D Paint Academy to be among the first to learn more about Forgotten Pigments, discover future product reveals, and start your next creative adventure with us. Forgotten Pigments arrives in 2027. The adventure is just beginning...
