Combat Se7ens: Noble Relic Armour and Looted War Gear

Since our first Combat Se7ens sets debuted in June, there have been two very common and oft repeated questions—what about ones that will work for Ultramarines and Orks?

Don't say we never listen! Today, barely a few months since the first 12 sets hit the market, we're already expanding the range with the brand-new Combat Se7ens: Noble Relic Armour and Looted War Gear paint sets.

These two sets have been specifically curated by our development team to work as army schemes in a box. Simply grab your Combat Se7ens palette of choice along with Matt Black and Matt White paint, and you're ready to start. There's no denying that in Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 setting, the Ultramarines and Orks are two very popular factions, especially since they star in the latest edition's new starter set.

While Noble Relic Armour is definitely a great place to start for the sons of Guilliman, it's also a fantastic set for other factions, and even entirely different game systems. Within the 41st millennium it's ideal as a starting point for the grim Mordian Guard or the ephemeral Aeldari of Alaitoc. The deep blues and glittering gold would feel right at home on the panoply of the Iron Sultanate of Trench Crusade (just add a bit of mud and blood), or even disciplined ranks of a high-fantasy army such as the High Elves. The Terran Marines of Archon's Starcraft would like a word as well.

Meanwhile, Looted War Gear can be repurposed for the stoic Salamanders of Nocturne, a feat the Orks would approve of, while the Crucible Guard of Warmachine would also look striking in the set's various greens. Not even mentioning the various flavours of ork/orc scattered around the Warhammer universes and numerous fantasy and sci-fi settings that abound in the tabletop space.

With these two staples of the Combat Se7ens ecosystem added to the lineup, there's nary a colour scheme not covered. Don't forget about its sibling system, Crusade Se7ens, for those who like a little grimdark added into their palette.

What sets would you like to see in the future?
