Join The Army Painter at AdeptiCon 2026

Convention season is kicking off in style, and one of the biggest stops on the hobby calendar is AdeptiCon. From March 25–29, thousands of miniature painters, tabletop gamers, and hobby creators will gather at the Baird Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for several days of games, painting, seminars, and community.

If you’ve never been to AdeptiCon before, it’s not quite like any other gaming convention. What started as a small gathering of Warhammer enthusiasts has grown into one of the largest tabletop wargaming conventions in the world. Massive tournaments, incredible hobby classes, community events, and the legendary Golden Demon painting competition all take place under one roof. It’s a special place where hobbyists come to learn, show off their work, meet creators, and celebrate the craft of miniature painting together.

The Army Painter will be there all weekend, and we’d love to hobby with you.

Visit The Army Painter Booth

You’ll find us at Booth #1104 in the exhibitor hall. Our team will be there all weekend with paints, tools, 1:1 demonstrations, and all the hobby conversation you can stand. Whether you’re curious about trying new products, want to talk shop with fellow painters, or need a little hobby pep talk, the booth is the perfect place to start.

This year’s events team includes Kat Jackson, along with Caleb Wissenback, and Tim Engleman. Also joining us at the show will be members of The Army Painter staff including Ian Huxley, Janni Pedersen, Adam Abramowicz, and Tyler Mengel.

Several members of The Army Painter Factory Team will also be attending AdeptiCon, including Adam Loper, Phill Hall, Dave Taylor, Jake “Oz,” Sam Lenz, and Courtney DeVries, along with a few familiar friends of the brand. Many of them will be painting at the booth, running demonstrations, or simply hanging out and chatting with hobbyists throughout the weekend.

If you have any burning technique questions or want to get advice from some talented and enthusiastic painters, this is an excellent opportunity.

Shop and Try the Paints

We’ll have in-booth retail sales running all weekend, so if you need to refresh your hobby desk or want to try something new, you can pick up paints, brushes, and tools directly at the booth.

It’s also an ideal place to test products in person and find out what works best for the way you paint. You’ll be able to try the Speedpaint Markers and see the stunning John Blanche Masterclass colours up close and buy single bottles.

If you’ve been curious about how these and other paints look and behave on a miniature, our staff and Factory Team painters will be happy to show you.

And that’s not all! If you’d like to sit down and paint for a bit, we’ll also be hosting an in-booth Paint & Take, featuring miniatures from Trench Crusade and Mantic. Whether you’re brand new to painting or an experienced hobbyist looking to take a break and relax, this is the way. Kick back, pick up a brush, and enjoy the hobby with other painters.

The Army Painter Academy

In addition to the booth activities, we’ll also be hosting seminars in The Army Painter Academy Room, located in Room S201D, just past Fort Wappel in the main hobby area.

Throughout the weekend, the man and legend Caleb Wissenback will be leading three hands-on seminars designed to help hobbyists explore different Army Painter paint ranges. On Thursday he’ll be running a session focused on Speedpaint 2.0, demonstrating techniques like slapchop, blending, glazing, and detailing. Friday’s seminar will explore the Warpaints Fanatic range, showing how to basecoat, mix, blend, and refine a miniature using the system. On Saturday, Caleb will shift gears to the airbrush with a session dedicated to Warpaints Air, covering directional basecoating, filtering, shading, and blending techniques.

Each session runs about 90 minutes and includes a miniature that attendees get to keep. Be sure to sign up through AdeptiCon’s Events page.

Supporting the Resin Beast Competition

While we’re at AdeptiCon, members of the Army Painter team will also join Creature Caster to help judge their popular Resin Beast painting competition, one of the many showcases of incredible painting talent that AdeptiCon attracts every year.

The Creator Council Panel

On Friday afternoon from 3:30 to 5:00 PM, The Army Painter will host The Creator Council, a live panel discussion featuring some of the hobby’s most influential voices.

This session will bring together creators, including Uncle Atom from Tabletop Minions and The Army Painter Factory Team, and several well-known hobby personalities, including HoodGuard, Goobertown Hobbies, Orion’s Belt Miniatures, and Walter’s Workshop. The conversation will explore paint, partnerships, and the future of the hobby, followed by an opportunity to network with creators and fellow hobbyists.

The Paint Jam

If you’re looking to hang out with your favourite painters and relax, join us for The Paint Jam on Saturday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM. This is a massive open painting session where hobbyists can sit down alongside members of The Army Painter Factory Team and friends of the brand. Bring your own miniature, or build and paint a brand-new Trench Crusade Prussian on site. It’s not a class and there’s no pressure — just five hours of painting, chatting, and enjoying the hobby together.

And then…

Trench Crusade Preview

Immediately after the Paint Jam, stick around for the official Trench Crusade AdeptiCon Preview hosted by The Army Painter at 8:00 PM on Saturday. This presentation will feature new products, upcoming releases, and future plans for the game, along with a special announcement you won’t want to miss.

In Short, Come Hobby With Us

AdeptiCon is one of the best places in the world to celebrate miniature painting and tabletop gaming. Whether you’re there to compete, learn, explore the vendor hall, hang out with friends, or simply admire the amazing work on display, it’s an event that brings the entire hobby community together.

If you’re attending the show, make sure to stop by Booth #1104, say hello to the team, try some paints, and spend some time painting or chatting with fellow hobbyists.

We can’t wait to see you in Milwaukee.
