It is once again that time, hobbyists. Convention season is starting, and The Army Painter is kicking things off at Gary Con!
From March 19–22, we’ll be heading to the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin to join thousands of tabletop gamers, painters, and RPG fans celebrating the legacy of Gary Gygax, co-creator of Dungeons & Dragons, and the hobby we all love.
If you’re attending the show, make sure to stop by and say hi. We’ve missed you and we want to hear all about the projects you’ve been working on. We’ll have paints, demos, and plenty of hobby talk waiting for you.

You’ll find The Army Painter booth next to the Main Registration Desk near the Hobby area, so it’s an easy stop to make while you’re heading to games, seminars, or the paint-and-take tables.
Our team will be there all weekend with paints, tools, and advice to help you get more out of your hobby time. Plus, we love nerding out. Say hi to: Kat Jackson, Events Operations Manager, Caleb Wissenback, Events Logistics & Artist, and Tim Engleman, Events Retail Specialist.
Caleb and Tim will also be running demonstrations and offering one-to-one hobby instruction throughout the event, so if you’ve ever wanted to ask questions about techniques, products, or painting workflows, this is an excellent chance to do it in person.

We’ll have in-booth retail sales throughout the convention, so you can stock up on paints, brushes, and hobby tools while you’re at Gary Con.
Whether you’re picking up supplies for your next RPG character or Warhammer 40,000 army, refreshing your painting desk, or trying something new, the booth is the perfect place to see products up close and talk hobby with the team. If you’ve been wanting to put Speedpaint Markers to the test or view the stunning John Blanche Masterclass colours in person, this is your chance.

Gary Con has always had a strong hobby side, and we’re excited to support it this year as a Hobby Program Sponsor.
That means we’ll be providing paints and supplies for the Hobby Seminars, Classes, and the Paint-and-Take area, helping new and experienced painters alike sit down and enjoy the hobby.
If you’ve never tried painting a miniature before, the Paint-and-Take is a fantastic place to start. Plus, it comes with a contest! We’re proud to facilitate the Gary Con Fan Favorite Paint-and-Take Miniature Contest, where attendees who participated in the Paint-and-Take can enter their freshly painted miniature for a chance to win a prize from The Army Painter.
