The dice are rolling, the brushes are flying, and the desert is about to be filled with hobby heat. From October 2–5, 2025, The Army Painter will be at Las Vegas Open XII, one of the premier wargaming gatherings and tabletop gaming conventions in the world. That’s right, LVO is taking place in October now! Hosted by Frontline Gaming at The Expo at World Market Center, the LVO is where tabletop gaming meets spectacle, and this year we’ll be saying viva Las Vegas all convention long at booth #604 with paint, demos, event exclusives, and more.
Meet the Team
The Army Painter Events Team and Factory Team will be out in force to make sure your LVO weekend is packed with painting inspiration. Stop by to see Kat, Caleb, and Tim for demos, questions, and general nerding out over all the minis you’ve painted lately. They’ll guide you to the paint and tools you want (and didn’t know you needed) to level up your painting or to get started in the hobby.
And that’s not all—we’re also joined by some familiar faces from our Factory Team. Phil Hall, the Glacial Geek, will be at the booth and capturing events behind the lens, Adam Loper (Uncle Atom) will bring his hobby wisdom and humour, and Sam Lenz will not only be part of the booth but also serve as a special event judge.
Rumour has it that our resident Brand Commander, or as some of you recall him, The Best General, is aligning his work and hobby commitments as he would love to attend to see some old and new friends.
Suffice it to say, the booth will be stacked with talent and personality.
The Army Painter Challenge
One of the most exciting parts of the weekend will be the return of The Army Painter Challenge. It’s the world’s first game-system agnostic army painting competition, honouring the creativity and skill involved in this hobby. With 13 possible trophies and a cash prize of $1,000 for Best in Show, the challenge is an exciting way to show off your armies – no matter what system you paint or play. Interested parties can submit their armies on Thursday, October 2, with the awards ceremony taking place on Sunday, October 5.

Demos, Classes, and Booth Exclusives
Beyond the challenge, our booth will be alive with activity all weekend. We’ll be conducting Speedpaint Marker demonstrations, giving you a chance to try this new tool that will expand your hobby techniques. Members of our team will also be offering one-on-one hobby instruction throughout the weekend, perfect if you want to pick up some insider tricks and learn from the best.
For those who want to dive deeper, both Caleb and Sam will be teaching classes, bringing their unique perspectives and professional skills to the classroom setting. Keep an eye on the LVO schedule for exact times.
And of course, the booth will be stocked with products and event exclusives. From our beloved range of Warpaints Fanatic and Speedpaints, to John Blanche Masterclass singles and sets, to the last remaining and event exclusive Trench Crusade Initiation sets (only 50 available!), there’s something for every hobbyist.
