The first-ever joint preview between Trench Crusade and The Army Painter has wrapped at AdeptiCon, and what a night of reveals! The exciting new Carcass Front box set from Trench Crusade themselves is a sight to behold, and alongside this, we have two additional reveals ourselves, which are sure to get fans of the grimdark excited.
On hand we had both our very own Adam, seen here sans-gas mask between rotations at the front lines, and the one and only Mike Franchina, the artistic visionary behind Trench Crusade's unique aesthetic. Between the two of them we learned all the juicy details on the future of Trench Crusade and the potential for what this new partnership hold's in store.

Carcass Front

Trench Crusade have just opened pre-orders for Carcass Front, their first starter set and supplement box!
The ever-restless armies of Hell stir once more in the benighted lands beyond New Antioch known as the Carcass Front. Everywhere signs show the return of Leviathan is nigh. Warbands of the Faithful and Fallen gather to fulfill the Prophecy in the hope of mankind's salvation, or to complete its damnation.
The Carcass Front box contains a wealth of exciting new content for Trench Crusade! This includes a campaign book filled with spectacular new lore and art, the epic “Path to Leviathan” narrative campaign, and a map-based campaign. It also includes the miniatures for two full, ready-to-play Warbands: the much-awaited Heretic Naval Raiders, and the Procession of the Sacred Affliction!
If you’re new to the world of Trench Crusade, Carcass Front is a great place to begin! As well as containing all the miniatures for two opposing Warbands, the box includes accessories, introductory rules, and simple instructions on how to get started.

The Army Painter is proud to announce our new collaboration with Factory Fortress Inc. and their smash-hit game, Trench Crusade. Prepare to storm the trenches and bring to life the steel, faith, fury, and mud of this grimdark setting, all combined into a compact box set of seven curated paints.
Specifically tailored to each faction, the new Crusade Se7ens breach the defences with the Prussian Stosstruppen kicking things off. This battle-ready palette combines the muddy browns, drab greens, and dark metallics of the Free State of Prussia into one box, ready to kickstart your own Trench Crusade collection.

The Arena Challenge 2026
The Broken Isle
The Arena Challenge is set to return for 2026 with a decidedly grimdark twist. Gone are the battlefields of the far future and the inspiring hopes and dreams of faraway fantastical realms. Instead, grab your bolt-action rifle, secure your gas mask, and prepare to take the fight to the trenches of an alternate 1914 No Man’s Land with Trench Crusade!
The Arena Challenge is a hobby escalation campaign where participants build and paint their forces over the course of several months, sharing all their hobby progress along the way. From their very first test mini to the final completed warband, you’ll see it all as they craft their grimdark forces of Faithful or Fallen using The Army Painter range of paints and tools.
The most exciting news of all is that this year we’re not doing it alone! Lyle and Stephane from Factory Fortress Inc., aka the company behind Trench Crusade, will be taking part, as well as Adrian and others from the hit YouTube channel Trench Titans/Tabletop Titans, and of course, members from our very own extremely talented Factory Team!
This year also sees a narrative twist, with the entirety of the Arena Challenge taking place within the mysterious domain of The Broken Isle. Trench Crusade is at its best when it’s approached narratively, and as such, all the warbands will be fighting over this mist-wreathed island deep within the Mediterranean Sea. What does this mean for the Arena? For starters, the only way to earn Glory (essential for certain wargear and recruiting mercenaries to your warband) will be to complete Hobby Glorious Deeds. Finally, the Arena will conclude this year with an epic final day of gaming spread out over Denmark, the UK, and the US, as the dark secrets of the Broken Isle can be claimed by only one.
